11-30-04: G-CLEF INTERVIEWED ON UGRAP.COM
UGRAP.COM, a well-known German underground Hip-Hop site, conducted an interview recently with G-Clef. This was possibly the most in-depth interview from a Hip-Hop side of things G-Clef has done to date. To check it out click here.
10-23-04: UPDATE: CHAMBERMUSIK IS BANGIN'

Chambermusik Store now stocks not only all Yalloppin/Soulkid product, but also independent Wu-Fam such as 9th Prince, Killa Priest, 71 Raw, Allah Real, Falling Down, Tragedy Khadafi, Ruthless Bastards, King Just, DJ Storm, and soon to add many more. The main site features these and other elements, which are coming together to form a vast online "Killa Beehive" for all Independent Wu-Affiliated artists to deal directly with their fans on the web. 10-23-04: G-CLEF JAZZ TRIO PLAYS EVANESCENCE?
Soulkid Records is proud to announce the second in a series of "cover albums" featuring the saxophone talents of G-Clef showcased front and center as the bearer of the melodic line. This time, we not only hear from jazz guitarist William Ash, but from Yalloppin' Hounds' bassist Peter Hartmann as well in this intimate, yet space-aged jazz trio format. The idea of a jazz trio performing the music of pop-metal band Evanescence may seem strange to some, but hardly to those at all familiar with the risk-taker himself, G-Clef at the boards. "Despite some overdubbing, and production, this is still essentially a pure jazz trio album. No instruments have been added other than guitar, acoustic bass, and alto saxophone." explains the Mad Komposa himself. To hear clips from the album or to buy it now, go here.
10-23-04: INFAMOUS: PRESSURE EP RELEASED
G-Clef has finally released the final installment from the Soul Kid Vault; the music of Infamous Mr. Savage aka Doc Dave Banner. The battle-styled emcee was first heard on Mortal Combat, the SKK's first commercially released 12 single. He was the first emcee on the record who set it off with "Who be dat ill nigga creeping thru the jungle?" This EP's contents include various demos and songs recorded while the Klik was involved with Gza Entertainment, in the Golden Era of the Wu-Tang Clan circa 1996. Several of these beats were solicited for Gza's Liquid Swords LP, but were replaced by beats by the Rza, forming the classic album that the world now remembers as history. Perhaps history worked out for the best, as these songs are blessed by Infamous' incredible lyrical stylings throughout this EP, perhaps to show and prove G-Clef had not lost any ground giving these beats to Infamous instead! Infamous told G-Clef in 1996, "Fuck it, I will tear them shits apart!" And so, now, after all these years, we can finally hear him do it with the "Pressure". Included on this record is the "Desperate Times" B-Side tribute to Notorious B.I.G. by Infamous called "Ten Mack Commandments". To hear samples of this dope, classic EP go here.

NEXT UP FROM THE VAULT: G-CLEF'S FIRST EVER SOLO RAP RELEASE!
After 14 years as an producer and emcee in the game, G-Clef da Mad Komposa will finally have his own solo release as a lyricist, now in 2002. Although the material being released is actually from recordings during the classic Ghetto Philharmonic / Soul Kid Klik era of 1994-1997, it is still historically significant today, in the wake of the rediscovery of the Soul Kid Klik and Ghetto Philharmonic, which was G-Clef's crew that was signed to Tuff City Records from 1992-94. A full length LP should follow sometime in 2003, but for now, as a teaser, this CD EP entitled Journals from a Desert Planet, is planned for an online release date of Election Day, Tuesday, November 5th. Price will be only $8 on this website and squattyroo.com! Track list follows....
JOURNALS FROM A DESERT PLANET (EP) : G-Clef da Mad Komposa, aka Amadeus Melchizedek
featuring: Mad Komposa's Theme featuring Storm, Goin' to the Desert, Hip-Hop Be-Bop (album title track held back from Tuff City from the Ghetto Philharmonic Era), Fear in Ya Ear
10-20-02: SOUL KID KLIK ALBUM NOW REMASTERED FOR FULL RELEASE
The SKK album, Invisible Army has now been available in limited pressing, on servers such as mp3.com, squattyroo.com, and cdbaby.com, but the primary pressing has now officially ceased. The old material has been completely digitally remasterred, with extra, previously "missing" verses, skits, and intros, making this finally, the true and creatively realized version of the "greatest album that ever wasn't", Invisible Army by the Soul Kid Klik.
Also, some have noticed the new "Lost Secret" logo on the front page of our site. Yes, it's a fact, new material is being worked on for Soul Kid Records. At long last, G-Clef Melchizedek is producing raw Hip-Hop again with a compilation/group called "Lost Secret". The main participants are G-Clef himself, and new protege, producer/emcee Archangel Metatron, along with spots by ex-skk members Storm and Black Spik, and possibly Infamous, aka Doc Dave Banner. Skinslayer, now just called "Smitty" has also been working on new tracks, so he may be included in this project as well. More will follow as it develops.
March 7, 2002: SOUL KID KLIK ALBUM TO BE REPACKAGED AND RELEASED FOR DISTRIBUTION
Due to popular demand, the Soul Kid Klik's Invisible Army LP will be officially released on CD this spring. After mp3.com decided to cut out all mixes of Mortal Combat, the Klik's underground classic, Yalloppin Entertainment began to sell raw copies via secure server right here on our own site. Although the album appears to still be available via mp3.com, we do not recommend that you buy it there, as it costs too much, plus the two mixes of Mortal Combat are withheld from the album due to "copyright problems". Yeah, right...lol. Meanwhile, any orders from this date forth that are taken via this site, will be for sale for a mere $12 USD, plus shipping. These CDs will be actual audio CDs with full back and front covers. Yalloppin Entertainment is also in the planning stages of fully packaged CDs by Goodfella Mike G, G-Clef, Storm, Skinslaya, and possibly an Infamous EP. To peep the graphics as well as to order the Invisible Army LP, go here.

2000: G-CLEF'S JAZZY's SAMPLED
G-Clef recently earned a sample credit on a new song by the Dirty South's own DJ Magic Mike. The song, called What Happened To... will be released on a new album this month (Sept 26th, 2000). The sample was the four bar basic groove-loop of Newbop Lounge from G-Clef's Jazzy Breaks, Volume 1. (SKR-2001). G-Clef will be given full credit for writers' and co-production on the LP. Let's hope The King of Bass goes Gold or Platinum once again!
1999: STORM , G-CLEF do CAMEO for EUROPEAN DANCEHALL ARTIST
Both Storm and G-Clef recently recorded rhymes on a remix album called Diggin' up Dirt for Grover Records recording artist Dr. Ring Ding. Storm performed on a song called "Call de Doctor" and G-Clef performed on a song called "My Sound ".
Dr. Ring Ding is widely known as a touring and recording star in both the Ska and Dancehall markets, and hails from Munster, Germany. To see a web page on his band click here.
Both emcees repped well for their style, adding a whole new dimension to the remix tracks of two of Ring Ding's past hits...
